Register for Competitive Tryouts by clicking here. There is no cost or obligation to register for or attend tryouts. Registering online will save you and FC West time by eliminating the need to stand in line on the night of tryouts. Just check in and proceed to the field. It will also help us estimate the number of players that will be trying out each night.

FC West is holding competitive team tryouts for the 2012-2013 season. Boys and girls in the U10 - U14 age groups for fall 2012 are invited to try out for placement on one of the teams. 
The number and age groups of competitive teams will be determined after tryouts. There is no guarantee that a team will be formed for each age and gender group or that every player that attends tryouts will be placed on a team. We hope that any players not selected for a competitive team will play on a recreational team for FC West. 

Tryout Schedule (Forest Grove High School Turf Field):

Boys and Girls U10 (Born after July 31, 2002): May 7th and 14th, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Boys and Girls U11 (Born after July 31, 2001): May 8th and 15th, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Boys and Girls U12 (Born after July 31, 2000): May 9th and 16th, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Boys and Girls U13 (Born after July 31, 1999): May 10th and 17th, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Boys and Girls U14 (Born after July 31, 1998): May 21st and 23rd, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Attendance at both sessions is highly recommended. There is no cost or obligation to try out.

Registration Fee: $225 (includes fall season, uniform, and one tournament) 

Due Dates: If selected, all registration fees are due by June 8th. 
 

Schedules:

1. Training will begin in June with practices typically held twice per week. 
   

2. Tournaments may be played throughout the summer. 
   

3. League play begins in early September and runs through the end of October. Games will be played on Saturdays and Sundays in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington. 
   

What you will need at tryouts:

1. Birth Certificate (Photocopy). 
   

2. Tryout Application and Release Form with parent or guardian signature (available at tryouts). 
   

3. Water bottle filled with water only. No food, gum, sports drinks, etc allowed on the turf field. 
   

4. Come ready to play. Shin guards covered by socks are mandatory. No jewelry.
   

Commitment: Competitive soccer requires a higher level of commitment than recreational soccer. If selected for a team players are expected to be prompt to every practice and game, commit to practicing at home, and train their hardest at every practice.
